This Offsite section under our C&I business is structured around two models, tailored to diverse operational and regulatory needs:

Bilateral Model

A direct power procurement arrangement where renewable energy is supplied from a dedicated generation plant to the consumer under a long-term agreement.

Group Captive Model

A framework where multiple consumers collectively offtake power from a shared project to gain tariff and regulatory benefits, with minimum equity holding as a requisite for regulatory compliance.

Why Choose Offsite?

Unlock competitive advantages with our solar open access solutions designed for energy-intensive industries.

Tariff Optimization

Reduce energy costs through competitive solar power tariffs and optimized consumption patterns.

Sustainability Impact

Achieve your carbon neutrality goals with clean, renewable solar energy from verified sources.

Flexible Energy Sourcing

Access solar power across multiple sites with flexible supply arrangements through open access.

Multi-Site Operations

Perfect for energy-intensive industries operating across different locations.

Ideal for Energy-Intensive Industries

Our Open Access Model is designed for industries with high energy consumption across multiple operational sites.

Offsite Renewable Energy – Bilateral Model

The Bilateral Model enables businesses to procure clean power directly from an offsite renewable energy project through a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Under this model, electricity is generated at a dedicated solar or wind plant and supplied to the consumer via the state transmission network, ensuring reliable access to green energy without the need for on-site infrastructure. This model is ideal for companies seeking scalable, predictable, and environmentally responsible power solutions across single or multiple locations.

Offsite Renewable Energy – Group Captive Model

The Offsite Group Captive Model enables multiple Commercial and Industrial consumers to jointly procure renewable power from a dedicated offsite solar or wind project by collectively owning a minimum equity stake in the generating entity, as per regulatory requirements. Power generated from the project is supplied to the participating consumers through the state transmission network under open access.

How It Works

A seamless three-step process governed by state policy guidelines and DISCOM regulations.

  • 01

Formation of a Group Captive Entity

Eligible consumers collectively hold the required equity in the renewable energy project, meeting captive ownership norms.

  • 02

    Dedicated Offsite Renewable Plant

A solar or wind power plant is developed specifically to supply power to the group of captive users.

  • 03

    Grid-Based Power Supply

Electricity generated is injected into the state grid and wheeled to each consumer location using open access mechanisms.

  • 04

    Regulatory Compliance & Benefits

The model allows consumers to avail exemptions or reductions in cross-subsidy surcharge and additional levies, subject to prevailing state regulations.
